What to Ask Jenny

Jenny will answer whatever you type. The hard part is knowing what's worth asking.

Start here

If you only try one thing, try one of these. They're the three questions people get the most out of and ask about the least.

What happened to all our calls last month?
Nobody has time to listen back through a month of calls. This is the one question that tells you where the phone calls went.

What's on the board for the next three days?
Holes in next week's schedule are cheap to fix today and expensive to fix Friday.

How old are our open estimates?
Work you've already priced and already paid to go quote. It's the warmest money in the building and the easiest to forget about.

How these work. Click a question and it opens in your Ask Jenny and runs. The line underneath is sent with it — that's the detail that decides what comes back, so nothing is hidden from you. These run against your live ServiceTitan data rather than opening a saved report, so give them a minute or two.

Running the day

Owner, GM, brand president — whoever answers for the whole number. The first two are already on your home screen; the third isn't.

What should I be looking at today?
Show me yesterday's revenue by business unit and job type, today's job board and the technicians available to run it, open estimates from the last two weeks, cancellations from the last few days and how many got rebooked, and three things I could do about it today.

How are we tracking this month?
Show me revenue over the last 30 days by business unit and location — jobs booked, jobs run after cancellations, jobs sold and the revenue from them — and where the calendar month is pacing. If UpSmith agents are live, include the jobs and revenue they drove.

What's our close rate by business unit, and where did it move?
Show me converted jobs against completed jobs for each business unit, last 7 days beside last 30, with the job counts next to the percentages. Leave out no-charge jobs and anything with a completion date in the future.

Running the board

Service manager, dispatch, field manager — and the owner himself, at a smaller shop.

What's on the board for the next three days?
Show me every appointment scheduled for the next three days, day by day rather than averaged, with job type and assigned technician, and flag anything still unassigned.

Show me last week's same-day cancellations and why.
Include jobs canceled in the last 30 days with no later appointment for the same customer and job type, with the reason, job type and business unit, plus our overall rebooking rate and the reasons that come up most.

How many jobs per tech per day did we run last week?
Show me completed jobs for each technician on each day of last week, day by day rather than a weekly average, so a slow day doesn't disappear.

Running the phones

CSR manager, call centre lead, or whoever answers when it rings.

What happened to all our calls last month?
Show me every inbound call and what became of it — booked, not booked, abandoned, or never a lead — with our booking rate and the two numbers behind it. Count calls with no CSR attached on their own line rather than dropping them.

Which of my CSRs booked the most last week?
Show me calls handled and jobs booked for each CSR last week, with each person's booking rate. Present it as a team picture rather than a ranking.

Which appointments still aren't confirmed for tomorrow?
Show me tomorrow's appointments that haven't been confirmed with the customer, with the arrival window and contact details. If we don't track confirmation status in ServiceTitan, say so instead of returning an empty list.

Chasing quoted work

Sales manager, comfort advisors, or whoever owns the estimate pile.

How old are our open estimates?
Show me open estimates from the last 30 days on jobs that are already finished, grouped by age, with customer, job, business unit and value. Count only the highest estimate on each job, and list estimates with no job attached separately.

What did we sell last month versus what we quoted?
Show me quoted value against sold value for last month, using the same set of jobs on both sides, broken out by business unit. Describe quoted amounts as opportunity rather than expected revenue.

Which customers are due for a new system?
Show me customers with equipment ten years or older and an active service history, ranked by system age and how often we've been out, with the age and visit history for each.

Keeping members

Membership coordinator, office manager, customer care.

Which memberships are coming up for renewal?
Show me active memberships reaching an end date in the next 30 days, and separately the ongoing plans reaching an annual billing date, with customer, plan type, date and days remaining. Leave out canceled, suspended and expired plans.

How many memberships have already lapsed?
Show me memberships past their end date that didn't renew, with customer and plan type, keeping canceled, suspended and expired plans in separate groups.

Which members are due for a maintenance visit they haven't booked?
Show me active members with a maintenance visit due or overdue and nothing on the books, with customer, plan type, what's due and how overdue it is.

Buying leads

Marketing, the agency, or whoever answers for what the phone costs.

Which lead sources actually booked last month?
Show me booked jobs by lead source for last month, how many became jobs and what they were worth. If we don't have ad spend connected, say so rather than implying the cost was zero.

What are we paying per booked job, by lead source?
Show me spend against booked jobs for each paid lead source last month, with cost per booked job. Only include sources where spend is actually connected, and name the ones that aren't.

Are we answering the leads we're paying for?
Show me phone leads from paid sources last month, how many were answered and how many weren't, and what the unanswered ones cost us.

Keeping ServiceTitan tidy

Whoever owns job types, tags and business units.

Which job types aren't mapped to a business unit?
Show me job types with no business unit attached and how many jobs ran under each one.

Which completed jobs are missing the tags they should have?
Show me completed jobs from the last 30 days missing the tag I name, with job number, business unit and technician. Ask me which tag if I haven't said.

Which customer records are missing a phone number?
Show me customer records with no phone number, separating the ones created without one from the ones that had a number and lost it.

Changing a question

None of these are fixed. Once the answer comes back, keep going in the same chat — "just the Plumbing business unit", "make that 60 days", "sort it by value". Jenny keeps the shape of the report and applies your change.

You can also change the request before it runs. Click the question to open it, then edit any part of it in the chat box before you send.
